2019: Unhappy New Year

Looking forward to 2019. Looking forward to what?

Economic and social meltdown, leading to major unrest.

More religious terrorism.

Rising criminality.

More climate change storms.

People calling each other “Nazis” and bigots.

More cheating in areas of public life from sport to politics.

People forced to watch more stupid superhero movies.

Intolerance of refugees and homeless people.

Brexit.

The political centre collapsing.

The rich getting wealthier at the expense of everybody else.

A world on the brink of World War III.

Immigration scandal: much wider than Windrush

Oh dear. The Conservative government has been caught with their collective pants down yet again.

One of their few political trump cards was the controversial issue of immigration. However, in recent days, they had been bitten on the bum over the status of people who arrived in the United Kingdom from the West Indies on the Empire Windrush ship after World War II.

The case for EMIGRATION

On the national day of action, entitled One Day Without Us, a short video on what Britain would lose if foreigners were asked to leave the country over Brexit.

What is very frustrating is that despite the huge contribution foreigners have given to Britain throughout history, we continue to treat them with disrespect and sometimes downright hostility (unless they’re rich).

So, I have an idea- why don’t the government set up a fund for allowing all foreigners to the chance to leave Britain to go and live where they will be appreciated. Then we will soon see how the country will (not be able to) cope without them.
