A politician from the Netherlands who was denied entry into the UK because of his alleged anti-Muslim views, has accused the British government of being ‘the cowards of Europe’.
Geert Wilders MP, leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, was invited to The UK Parliament to show his controversial film, Fitna. It seems that the actions of our government has given Mr Wilders more publicity beyond his wildest dreams.
The decision to put a banning order on him entering the country smacks of the government’s hypocrisy, because it has been pointed out time and time again that so-called Muslim extremists, who routinely preach the launching of Jihad against the West have been allowed into the country. The decision also goes against the freedom of speech. The right to hold strong views, and the right to challenge those views in the public realm.
This issue is not just about free speech. The real villains here are the government, whose policies have caused so much racial, social and economic tension in the UK, are continuing, at great taxpayers’ expense, to construct huge databases in a desperate bid to control the population. They are a far bigger threat to the security of the country than the rantings of any extremist.
