It had to happen. The snow which was predicted to fall across Britain over the next few days has caught all our public authorities by surprise… yet again.
For goodness sake, why is it that Britain, alone amongst the leading industrial nations, cannot seem to get anything right in a major weather, or indeed, any emergency? Why do we wait for a crisis to happen and then try pointing the finger of blame at someone?
In the current financial climate, this cold snap could hit Britain’s economy even harder than it has been already, and we may find it very hard to recover from this. No wonder this country has been seen from abroad as a laughing stock.
