A Premiership footballer has vowed never to play for his team again after his manager mis-pronounced his surname in a recent post-match interview.
Charles N’Zogbia, who plays for Newcastle United, has accused the current manager Joe Kinnear of insulting him, after the latter mispronounced his surname, ‘Insomnia’ after the recent league defeat by Manchester City.
Kinnear responded by saying: “Ok, I got a little tongue-tied, but if I had a pound for every time I’ve mis-pronounced a player’s name down the years, then I’d be a very wealthy man indeed.”
N’Zogbia, at this moment in time, is behaving like a stupid cry-baby, and has probably made himself a target for the Toon Army boo-boys. Ok, his surname got mis-pronounced, so what? With all the other more important problems Newcastle have got right now, it would be better if he just laughed off the incident, grow up and move on.
