Okay, so England’s national football side beat Kazazhstan 5-1 at Wembley in their latest World Cup qualifying match.
What do you think was the main talking point? Was it that the home side failed to break the minnows down so they went in at half time still goalless? Was it that fellow rivals Croatia failed to beat Ukraine? The fact that England made a great start with three wins out of three? None of these- it was the fact that England defender Ashley Cole got regularly booed from a hardcore section of the home crowd.
Oh, big deal, Ashley! If and your team-mates fail to perform against a team that we should be beating with one leg tied behind their backs, you expect to be booed. You didn’t act so sensitively when Arsenal refused to increase your weekly wage, so you got into a huff and left for Chelsea instead. You donkey!
Some fans may argue that players are becoming too sensitive these days.
