Disgraced former Prime Minister Tony Blair has been criticised for taking up a part-time post with a major investment bank.
He took a position with JPMorgan this week in an advisory role, in which he could earn around £500,000 in a year. On top of his other commitments, notably his after-dinner speeches and being a special envoy to the Middle East, he may well think that the money would be worth it. So long as he is not held to account for his disastrous actions while he was PM, he will still get away with it unless he is stopped.
But why would anybody in their right mind would employ a man who led a government who made the country financially and morally bankrupt, and turned an already volatile region of the world into a potential World War III? It’s still not too late for those at JPMorgan to reconsider their decision…..
