Welcome to the (again) slightly-changed AW.

This is my space on the World Wide Web. It is a personal website in which I post small articles about what is happening in the world at present.  As I’m normally behind with the news I tend to do this well after the attention of any given issue has gone away. The site began just as a news blog back in 2007, and it’s still going today. I’ve had written several blogs before, but none has lasted as long as this one. Postings of articles (?) on this site are covered in four catagories : Current Affairs, Media, Sport, and This is Stupid. A fifth category, General, covers all the posts, including ones that aren’t included in the other four.

About Me

The Armchair is my nickname (for this site). Like the vast majority of bloggers, I do this for the love of it, and I feel I have something to say about this often crappy and depressing world, even if it is bullshit. My politics are centre-left, I am a football (soccer) fan, and I spend too much time either sitting on my backside and whinging, watching films and TV, and surfing the internet. I know, it’s a sad life, but it’s mine….
