While the Labour government ministers were so busy ripping each other apart, in the real world, another piece of what was left of UK manufacturing was ripped apart this week.
LDV , the Birmingham-based van maker, has gone into administration, certainly meaning that the majority of its workforce, from the van making side to its suppliers and dealerships, will almost certainly lose their jobs.
Where was the government when they needed them? As usual, nowhere to be seen…. they certainly do not care about the state of manufacturing in this country.
