The New Zidane?

This video has been shown thousands of times on YouTube. Madin Mohammed, who is only six years old, is reportedly being tracked by some of the largest soccer clubs in Europe. An exceptional talent and a potential superstar of the future.

Shame he isn’t English :( !

Britons would rather cook chickens than make cars

Britain to lose more manufacturing workers in the downturn.

Carmaker BMW to axe 850 jobs at Mini plant

Britain to gain more service sector workers in the downturn.

Fast food chain KFC to create 9,000 new jobs in the UK

Good grief! 9,000 new jobs at KFC??? No wonder Britain has an obesity problem. If these are the types of jobs that will be created in Britain in the future, then we are in some serious sh*t!

Media hyprocisy over reality TV star

Ever since she appeared on Channel 4‘s reality show Big Brother in 2002, Jade Goody has rarely been out of the news. As a genuine working-class woman, she has long been perceived by most of the British media as ‘stupid’, and in some cases, had become a hate figure. However, all that seemed to have changed after she was diagnosed with cancer last year. Now, they all want is to get the exclusive interviews about how she is coping with the disease… how sickening.

I saw this post from the blogosphere that can explain this better than I could. It’s a must-read.

Don’t be surprised if Goody’s demise is covered in the same way as was the late Diana, Princess of Wales. This would further expose the true hyprocisy of the British media.

Free Speech…. for who?

A politician from the Netherlands who was denied entry into the UK because of his alleged anti-Muslim views, has accused the British government of being ‘the cowards of Europe’.

Geert Wilders MP, leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, was invited to The UK Parliament to show his controversial film, Fitna. It seems that the actions of our government has given Mr Wilders more publicity beyond his wildest dreams.

The decision to put a banning order on him entering the country smacks of the government’s hypocrisy, because it has been pointed out time and time again that so-called Muslim extremists, who routinely preach the launching of Jihad against the West have been allowed into the country. The decision also goes against the freedom of speech. The right to hold strong views, and the right to challenge those views in the public realm.

This issue is not just about free speech. The real villains here are the  government, whose policies have caused so much racial, social and economic tension in the UK, are continuing,  at great taxpayers’ expense, to construct huge databases in a desperate bid to control the population. They are a far bigger threat to the security of the country than the rantings of  any extremist.

A conference to protect our liberties

On 28 February, An important conference is being held to discuss how the British people can defend their civil liberties against the actions of an increasingly desperate and unpopular government.

The Convention On Modern Liberty takes place on the same day in seven major cities. Apart from the usual suspects who tend to gather at these meetings, several high-level Conservative and indeed Liberal Democrat politicians will be speaking at key debates.

What was sadly lacking, was, of course, the non-appearance of Labour government ministers. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised at this, as throughout the lifetime of this (mal)administration, they have been unwilling or unable to defend their policies in any open forum, whether at public meetings or in the media. A thriving democracy requires open and robust debate, but ministers seem intent on trying to close it down.

The conference should be a starting point for people to organise a long and  collective nationwide campaign to protect civil liberties from disappearing in the UK.
